Play ball

Good morning,

Ever have one of those days when you are sooo proud you could just burst?

My wonderful Black Lab/Pit, Blacktoes, and my young Percheron/Quarter, Turbo. have learned to chase each other around the pasture, and pick up the ball shake it and play keep -a- way.

As they say "laughter is the best medicine", well i think I'll be living to be well over 100, they keep me in stitches.

I found your blog after you commented on ours. It was great to hear from you! It made me feel really good that you said my life with horses sounds like yours. Since we didn't get into horses until we were adults, I have always wondered if perhaps I am just a little out of it. Good to hear someone else has my same experiences.... I especially liked the post about the ball. We got one of those for our horses, and they wouldn't go near it!! I kept trying to get them interested -- I even put sugar water on it, but no go. They just did not like it. I guess they figure the goats are their playthings! Hope to hear from you again, and I will keep reading your blog as well.

Good Morning John and Regina!!

i enjoy getting to talk to you too.
my older horses that i have not raised will not play with the ball either. i started with the baby. my dog was trying to get in on the game that i was trying to play with turbo. turbo was very interested in the dog (blacktoes) and blacktoes being a very patient dog, things just bloomed from there. sooo i can not really take the credit. it goes to blacktoes.

by the way i have heard about you and yours for a few years now. i work with Alice Dejanovic. she is a wonderful gal i care a lot about.

sometime when we get back up to the dunes we would injoy running the beach with you.
